My name is Lindsay Aman and I am a 27-year-old artist/photographer based in Salt Lake City. I graduated from the University of Utah in 2016 with my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in. I grew up in sunny California in the scorching town of Palm Desert. You have probably never heard of it, but it is right by Palm Springs, and, down the street from Coachella Fest.
I moved back to Salt Lake City in 2011, and will never look back. This smoggy, elevated, mountainous valley is my home. I am a sucker for adventures, breathtaking landscapes, season changes, jumping off cliffs, and getting lost in the mountains. I am a dog obsessed woman who will spend 30 minutes showing you pictures of my dog if you don’t stop me.
Above all though, my passion is storytelling. Since before I could remember I wanted nothing more than to act, sing, make movies, and take photos. After college, I didn’t have a consistent creative outlet. I took up painting, continued singing, and started diving headfirst into photography. Photography is a special and vulnerable kind of art that I take reverence in. It is a gigantic privilege and responsibility when you trust me to capture your special stories. At the heart of it that s what photography is to me- storytelling. We all have these fantastic, messy, and beautiful moments that make up this incredible thing we call life.
I want to capture those moments. I want to capture the magic between two lovers, and the optimism and excitement of a senior before they embark on the transition of independence. I want to capture photos that will allow you to remember your family at that moment in time- however goofy! I am a firm believer that people look their best when they can let loose and be themselves. It’s hard to look good when you’re posing for hours. When we work together, your job is to be yourself, and my job is to make sure you look great!
I would describe my style as dreamy, moody, and rich. I am not a light and airy photographer. When it comes to weddings, I am there to capture the memories in a timeless style. I use the ten-year rule, which is: if you look at these photos in ten years, will they still be amazing? If my style is one that fits with your vision then I would love to chat with you further! Photography is an investment, and I would love to work together to find a package that fits your unique need.
I look forward to working with you – Thank you!
